Since Dr. McCrae started his practice, I've taken my pets to his clinic. He is friendly, shows kindness to the animals, treating them with respect and tenderness. He has always taken the time to educate us and answer our questions. The staff is also very nice and helpful.
Cat was spayed declawed, dewormed, vaccinated and checked for ear mites. Three days later she had infection in her paws and surgery area look horrible. Two months later paws are still not correct. She has pain in her paws and has an infection in her ears from ear mite treatment. Also sutures from spaying surgery still have not dissolved.
I love going to McRae Vet Clinic! Reasonable prices and a very smart doctor!! I even got to work there for a while before I had to go back to school!
The entire clinic is ALWAYS clean and smells great, even in the boarding areas.
I have discussed with him how I felt on this and we've come to an agreement. I appreciate his willingness to listen to me and how I felt about that.
Helpful when it comes to simple stuff as shots. Wanted to get my dog ear cropped and we wanted it a certain way. I tried showing the doctor what my husband wanted and while I was talking, I was rudely interrupted and cut off. I tried to explain and was cut short and he said he had to get back to what he was doing. I was a loyal customer. I would drive 40min just to come to this Vet. It could've been a nicer and more professional way to handle the situation. I will spend my money else where.
The only thing I have crossed words on is that to have your pet put down, his policy is to take them back to the back and you can't be with them. Most vets do allow the pet parents to be with their pets when that time comes.
